Praying for World Situations
Come, behold the works of the LORD, how he has brought desolations on the earth. He makes wars cease to the end of the earth; he breaks the bow and shatters the spear; he burns the chariots with fire. ‘Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations,I will be exalted in the earth!’” Psalm 46:8–10
“And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.” Matthew 24:14
1. Pray for God’s mercy and intervention in war-torn and unstable nations such as Sudan, Ukraine, DRC, Palestine, Afghanistan, Syria and all regions affected by violent extremism, asking the Lord to bring an end to bloodshed, grant wisdom to leaders, protect innocent lives, and establish peace, justice, and righteous governance.
2. Pray for those affected by humanitarian crises — refugees, displaced families, and vulnerable communities facing hunger and hardship — that God will provide relief, open doors for aid, strengthen humanitarian workers, and sustain those who are suffering with hope and daily provision.
3. Pray for global health systems and crisis-response efforts, that the Lord will grant wisdom, resources, and coordination to those addressing health emergencies, and that vulnerable populations will receive access to care, healing, and restoration.
4. Pray for children and families living in conflict zones and extreme poverty, that they will be protected from violence, exploitation, and despair, and that God will raise up support systems to restore stability, education, and long-term hope.
5. Pray that in the midst of global uncertainty and crisis, the gospel will advance powerfully across nations; that the Church worldwide will shine as light in darkness, boldly proclaim Christ, and that many will turn from despair to salvation, finding eternal hope in Him.
