...the gospel, which has come to you, as indeed in the whole world it is bearing fruit and increasing—as it also does among you, since the day you heard it and understood the grace of God in truth, Colossians 1:5-6

Bangladesh is a densely populated South Asian nation facing deep economic, political, and environmental challenges. In 2024, rising unemployment and hardship led to student protests that escalated into mass demonstrations, resulting in the fall of the government. With limited natural resources, frequent flooding, and about a quarter of its population living in poverty, the country remains trapped in cycles of instability and urgently needs wise leadership and long-term transformation.

1. Pray that Christ will continue to build His Church in Bangladesh despite political instability, corruption, and injustice. Ask that the gates of hell will not prevail against the purposes of God, and that righteous, just governance will emerge for the good of the poor and vulnerable.

2. Pray that the Gospel will continue bearing fruit and increasing across the nation, even in the midst of religious tension and persecution. Ask God to protect vulnerable minorities and restrain extremist influences, while advancing His Kingdom powerfully.

3. Pray that the growing churches — especially among tribal peoples, Hindu-background believers, and Muslim-background believers — will become strong, rooted in Scripture, and full of vision for mission. Ask for multiplying movements to Christ that demonstrate that Jesus is building His Church.

4. Pray for unreached and vulnerable groups, including tribal communities, Bihari Muslims, and Rohingya refugees, that the Gospel will reach them clearly and effectively. Ask that Scripture distribution, literacy initiatives, oral Bible efforts, and needed translations will bear lasting fruit as God’s Word spreads and increases throughout the land.
