“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.” Matthew 5:14

Current global needs remain urgent, with millions of people needing humanitarian assistance in 2026, while wars in Sudan, Gaza, Ukraine and other regions continue to cause displacement, hunger and civilian suffering. We also remember those affected by natural disasters, economic hardship, rising energy and fertilizer prices, the Ebola outbreak in the DRC and Uganda, and the hantavirus cluster linked to the MV Hondius cruise ship, asking God for mercy, healing, protection, peace, provision, and for the Church to shine as light in these troubled times.

1. Thank God for preserving life, showing mercy, and providing for people across the world despite wars, disasters, economic hardship, displacement, and uncertainty. Pray that people and nations will recognise God’s sustaining hand and turn to Him in humility, gratitude, and faith.

2. Pray for peace in nations affected by war, armed conflict, terrorism, political unrest, and violence, including the Middle East, Sudan, Ukraine, DRC, Myanmar, Haiti, South Sudan, and other troubled regions. Pray that God will restrain evil, protect civilians, comfort the grieving, and turn the hearts of leaders toward wisdom, justice, dialogue, and peace.

3. Pray for those affected by natural disasters, climate-related shocks, hunger, disease outbreaks, and economic hardship, including the Ebola outbreak in the DRC and Uganda, and the hantavirus cluster linked to the MV Hondius cruise ship.

o Ask God to bring healing to the sick, comfort to affected families, protection for health workers, wisdom for public health authorities, and provision for vulnerable communities facing hunger, displacement, and hardship.

o Pray that churches and humanitarian workers will be strengthened to respond with compassion, truth, and practical help.

4. Pray for deliverance and justice for those trapped in human trafficking, modern slavery, forced migration, abuse, crime, drug trafficking, exploitation, and extreme poverty. Ask God to expose works of darkness, rescue the oppressed, heal the broken hearted, and open doors for protection, restoration, and salvation.

5. Pray that the Church across the world will rise as light in a dark and troubled generation. Pray that believers will not retreat in fear but will respond with prayer, compassion, truth, generosity, disciple-making, and bold proclamation of the gospel, so that many people and nations may turn to Christ.
