Psalm 118:24 This is the day that the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Isaiah 55:10–11 For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.

Acts 2:46-47 And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day of by day those who were being saved.

• Thank God that He has gone ahead of us and prepared this Sunday’s services as the first set of services of the year. Praise Him for His faithfulness, grace, and the privilege of gathering in His presence at the beginning of a new year.
• Pray that people will come to the services with anticipation and expectation to receive from God. Ask the Lord to prepare receptive hearts, attentive minds, and a deep hunger for His Word and presence.
• Pray for all those serving in the services, including worship leaders, ministers, and all support teams. Ask God to guide the technical teams in the management of all audiovisual equipment, sound systems, live streaming, TV, and radio broadcasts, that everything will function smoothly and excellently.
• Pray for clear, Spirit-led delivery of the Word and for the tangible presence of God in all the services. Ask for salvation, healing of the sick, miracles, encouragement, and transformed hearts as the Word is preached.
• Pray that God will stir hearts to respond in obedience, committing to be doers of the Word and not hearers only. Ask the Lord to ignite a fresh resolve to live actively for Him throughout the year, walking in faith and obedience.
