SESSION 2: 01.00 – 02.00 (NORTH EAST ZONE AND SOUTH ZONE)
THANKSGIVING FOR CHRIST’S DEATH & RESURRECTION
Romans 4:25:
He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification.
1. Thank God for Jesus who wilfully accepted to be delivered over to death for our sins. What a sacrifice!! Thank God for raising Him to life for our justification. We are grateful that we stand without condemnation because of Jesus’ resurrection.
Romans 6:4
4 We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.
2. Thank God that Jesus’ resurrection enables us to live a new life. Thank God for the transformation that has taken place in your own life – the peace that passes human understanding, the freedom to worship God, the ability to understand the word of God, the desire to do good, the ability to forgive, the fruit of the Spirit, etc.
1 Peter 1:3
3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
3. Through the resurrection of Jesus, we are born into a living hope. We can face the future with confidence regardless of how bleak it looks. We remain hopeful in troubled times and can give hope to others.
Ephesians 1:18-23
18 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, 19 and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength 20 he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, 21 far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. 22 And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, 23 which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.
4. Thank God that the resurrection power lives in us and is able to raise us to positions of authority. Thank God that He counted us worthy to be recipients of such a mighty power and for all the exploits we are destined for because of this power.
5. Thank God that the resurrection seats Christ far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. Thank God that He placed all things under Jesus’ feet and appointed him head over everything for the church.
PRAYING FOR THE SALVATION OF LILONGWE CITY
Isaiah 62:1-3
For Zion’s sake I will not keep silent, for Jerusalem’s sake I will not remain quiet, till her vindication shines out like the dawn, her salvation like a blazing torch. 2 The nations will see your vindication, and all kings your glory; you will be called by a new name that the mouth of the LORD will bestow. 3 You will be a crown of splendor in the LORD’s hand, a royal diadem in the hand of your God.
6. Pray that ICA will not be silent for Lilongwe’s sake. Declare that we will not remain quiet, till Lilongwe’s vindication shines out like the dawn, her salvation like a blazing torch.
7. Pray that the people of Lilongwe will receive the Gospel and become a crown of splendor in the LORD’s hand. Pray that the light of Christ will penetrate all the areas where sin is concentrated in the City and bring transformation. Mention the places you know.
8. Pray for the Body of Christ in Lilongwe City to be serious about soul winning and to approach it with urgency. Pray that the desire to see Lilongwe City’s vindication will be high on our agenda.
9. Pray that everyone that comes to Christ will remain in Christ and never dream of going back. Pray that discipleship of these people will be the priority of the Church.
10. Pray that those that have been resisting the Gospel will find it appealing and will earnestly look for it. Those that seek Christ will find Him.
WE DECLARE THAT SALVATION IS COMING TO LILONGWE CITY AND THERE WILL BE MANY OPPORTUNITIES FOR PEOPLE TO FIND CHRIST.
