A. Thanksgiving for Easter

“And you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses, by canceling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to the cross. He disarmed the rulers and authorities and put them to open shame, by triumphing over them in him.”‭‭Colossians‬ ‭2‬:‭13‬-‭15‬ ‭ESV‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

“Sin is no longer your master, for you no longer live under the requirements of the law. Instead, you live under the freedom of God’s grace.”Romans‬ ‭6‬:‭14‬ ‭NLT‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

1. Thank God for the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ which brought us salvation and redeemed us from the curse of sin, sickness and poverty.

○ Thank God that sin no longer has dominion over us

○ Thank God that by His stripes we were healed

○ Thank God that Jesus became poor so that we could be made rich in every aspect of our lives.

2. Thank God that the blood of Jesus speaks better things for us and is greater covenant. Pray that we will walk in the reality of everything that Jesus purchased for us through his death and resurrection

B. Praying For Easter Programs across the City

“And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself.””John‬ ‭12‬:‭32‬ ‭ESV‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

1. Pray that as different congregations have their programs this Easter, these programs will be spirit led and will draw many to the true meaning of Easter.

2. Pray that many will be saved and delivered through the various Easter programs happening across Lilongwe city.

3. Pray that all Easter programs will be Christ-centered and not just festivities.
